There are some tips and suggestions included for utilizing leftovers. Remember when making salad to keep for leftovers, keep the dressing separate and add it right before eating.

Wooden Spoon
If you are just learning to cook start simple. Make only one cooking habit change, or try one new recipe, the first week. The next week, try another new change or recipe.
When I first began to truly cook from scratch, I started with simple dishes. I didn’t go out and buy an entire pantry’s worth of ingredients.

road ahead
Why?
Planning ahead is the first step to saving time and money in the kitchen because:
-you buy only what you need at the grocery store or farmer’s market
-you are more likely to eat homemade meals.
-it is less likely the food you do buy will go bad.
I’ve even noticed, just by having an answer for my husband when he asks, “What’s for dinner?” we don’t order out or go out as often. If I already have a plan to make something he likes, he quickly forgets about takeout.
