Zoku Quick Pop Maker

One of my Christmas gifts this year was the incredible Zoku Quick Pop Maker.  Place the Zoku in the freezer for 24 hours to freeze.  Once the Zoku is frozen, it will make ice pops in about 7-8 minutes.  I have the three pop maker, and it will make up to 9 ice pops, before needing to refreeze.

We’ve been experimenting with various fruit juices and purees.  I have yet to try anything fancy, as advertised by Zoku, like stripes, fun shapes, and flavored core pops.  Since the pops freeze quickly (you can actually watch it freeze) it’s pretty quick to make layered ice pops and core pops.  I’m excited to try pudding pops too.

One downside for some people, Zoku does not recommend the use of artificial sweeteners, noting the pops may be difficult or impossible to remove.  This is not a problem for our household, since we prefer using real sugar, honey, or maple syrup.

It’s a fun appliance, great for kids and adults.  The benefit is really the super fast freezing time.  There’s no need to plan ahead, which is ideal when working with children.  And, it makes it possible to make different flavored core pops.

Stay tuned for some delicious and fun ice pops here on The Daily Morsel.  But don’t worry, you can use traditional ice pop molds or even paper cups.
