Romaine Wedge Salad with Thousand Island Dressing

Thousand Island Dressing

Sweet, tangy, creamy and just a wee bit zesty, Thousand Island dressing is a comfort food dressing.  Delicious on burgers, Reuben sandwiches, and yes, even salads.

Total Time: 5 minutes

Makes: About 1 cup

Ingredients

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup ketchup

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

2 tablespoons grated yellow onion

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Sriracha or ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper + 1 teaspoon white vinegar

⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt, or to taste

Equipment

Grater

Measuring cups and spoons

Medium mixing bowl

Mixing spoon

Glass Jar with Lid, if storing

Process

Grate 2 tablespoons of yellow onion.

In a medium mixing bowl add in ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, 2 tablespoons grated onion, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon Sriracha, and ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt.

Stir everything together with a spoon.  Taste for seasoning and add additional fine sea salt if needed.

Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
