On July 4th, we headed over to Butter Cream Bakery and Diner for breakfast. We decided to take advantage of our bonus day off in the middle of the week and have breakfast out in Napa. Something we hadn’t done yet.

Castello di Amorosa

Last weekend friends drove up from San Francisco to visit us in Napa and we all headed north to Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga.  If you are able to drive North on Silverado Trail all the way to Calistoga, you can see The Castle to the west, across the valley.  It’s quite a sight to see a medieval Italian castle in the middle of Napa Valley.  Once you drive through the pillars marking the entrance, you do kind of get the feeling that you are entering Italy.  A giant stone castle looms before you, complete with turrets.
