Blueberry Nectarine Pie

This was a great summer pie recipe. I enjoyed the addition of nectarines, and liked that the pie was not super sweet. It was a bit too watery for me, and I wish I would have used more flour, or even instant tapioca to help thicken the juices. Blueberry pie is often runny, and I usually use more thickening agent.

I did use my own pie crust recipe, because I like the flavor and texture.

Overall the pie had wonderful flavor and the nectarines added a fun new twist for me.

The filling was a winner! (ok, maybe a little too sweet – but I think it depends on the fruit).
Thanks for all the lovely picture and delicious pie.

The nectarines were nice with this. I agree on your assessment of needing more thickener – I added some as well & wish I had added more…
    Great pie!

Ours wasn’t too runny, but tapioca would have kept it perfectly under control, I agree.
