TWD – Tuesdays with Dorie
Oasis Naan
This recipe was very easy and straightforward. It was a nice change to knead the dough by hand. The cumin seeds and scallions was a nice change from a common, plain naan. I took the opportunity to make a complete meal and served the naan with Chicken Tikka Masala.
For the first batch I baked I thought I docked the dough sufficiently, but it did puff quite a bit. For the next two batches I docked the dough even more aggressively, and it worked better, but the naan was still really quite puffy.
Overall the flavor and taste is wonderful, but I am definitely used to a flatter naan. In the future I will probably still use my other naan recipe, but add these toppings to it on occasion.

Very lovely – especially with the masala!
