Review Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Green Tea

I first bought Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Green tea two years ago.  The fun holiday illustrations grabbed my eye and candy cane green tea sounded warm and soothing for a cold evening.  The first sip was even better than I expected.  It definitely has the peppermint taste and smell of a candy cane.  There is also a bit of cinnamon, vanilla and roasted carob, all of which contribute to the tea’s sweet and smooth taste.  Best of all, for those that are caffeine sensitive, this tea is decaffeinated.  This tea is a great holiday treat, without the guilt of drinking (or eating) something bad for you.

I finished the box within a few weeks, still before Christmas, and went back to get more.  Our Trader Joe’s was out.  And I didn’t see any more the remainder of that holiday season.  The following year, as soon as I saw the tea on the shelf I threw two boxes in my cart.  This year, again two boxes into the cart.

I just opened my first box of the candy cane tea, and find that it is not the same as last year…..not as minty or sweet. I bought 10 boxes (since they keep running out and I’ve been to TJ’s five times to buy this item) and hope that maybe this one box is just a little “off”…..have you noticed any change in the tea you tried this season?

Hmmm…I hope is was just that one box that was off. I haven’t noticed a change in the boxes I’ve purchased this year. If it is more than the one box you may want to take them back and ask about it. I know the TJ’s near me is great at taking returns and like customer feedback. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
