Items to Freeze

Here are a few items I freeze, either when I make extra, or to save food before it goes bad.

Red/green peppers – cut into strips and place in a freezer bag with air removed

Pizza sauce

Pesto and Sauces

Fresh squeezed lemon/lime juice – squeeze the lemons or limes and freeze the juice in ice cube trays. Then place the frozen cubes in a freezer safe bag.

Buttermilk

Yogurt

Beans

Rice-placed in a freezer bag in a thin layer

Pancakes

Burritos

Soup/Stocks/Broths

Lasagna/Casseroles

Bacon

Meats – divide large packages of meat up into meal size portions to cook later, wrap in plastic wrap, foil, and then place in the freezer bag

Hamburgers

Salmon Patties

Chicken bones/carcass for making stock later – freezer bag with air removed

Chipotle in Adobo

Roasted Potatoes/Oven Fries – freezer safe bag
