Review Recchiuti Confections

I recently stopped in at the Recchiuti shop in the San Francisco Ferry Building.  I had the chocolates a few years ago when my husband bought me a box for Valentine’s Day.  I thought I would turn the tables and get him some chocolate this year.

Three days before Valentine’s Day, the store was well staffed during the lunchtime rush and everyone was very helpful.  Samples of their two sauces were available, which helped me make the decision to purchase the Burnt Caramel Sauce, which is divine on vanilla ice cream.

Instead of going with one of Recchiutti’s chocolate boxes, of which there are plenty, I individually chose chocolates to make my own box.  The chocolate is so smooth, and there are plenty of unique flavors to choose from such as Burnt Caramel, Fleur de Sel Caramel, Kona Coffee, Piedmont Hazelnut, and Rose Caramel.  Recchiuti’s also offers single origin chocolates.

If you do wish to go the boxed chocolate route Recchiuti offers many wonderful classic and themed versions.  Classics include truffles, peppermint thins, and peanut butter pucks.  For some themed varieties try the Beer Pairing, Wine Pairing, or Whisky Pairing Box.  Beverage suggestions are given for pairing the chocolates, or you can make your own pairings.

The next time you’re looking for a great gift, try one of Recchiuti’s unique confections.
