This week’s Friday Football Food post is a quick and easy snack, homemade oven baked chips. It’s a simple and tasty way to use leftover tortillas (whether store bought or homemade; corn or flour).
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: About 8 minutes
8 leftover flour or corn tortillas, cut into triangles
1 tablespoons olive oil, or non-stick spray
Sea or kosher salt to taste (I like using coarse sea salt for added crunch)
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut the tortillas into triangles.
Spray baking sheets or aluminum foil with cooking spray (or drizzle with ½ tablespoon of olive oil).
Lay the tortilla triangles in a single layer on the baking sheets (or foil). Spray the tops of the tortilla triangles with cooking spray (or drizzle with the remaining ½ tablespoon of olive oil).
Sprinkle the tortilla triangles with coarse sea salt.
Bake in a 425 degree Fahrenheit oven for about 6-8 minutes, flipping the triangles over half way through cooking. Watch the tortillas, as they may cook faster.
Let cool in a single layer before transferring to a bowl for serving.
