This weeks Friday Football Food post is an easy, leftover dish. Chili cheese dogs are perfect for a quick Monday night dinner after having chili for a Sunday meal.
Prep & Cook Time: 5-10 minutes (if buns are made)
1 package of hot dog buns or 1 recipe Soft White Sandwich Buns
1 cup of leftover chili
1 package of your favorite hot dogs
½ cup shredded mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or Fontina cheese
Mix, let rise, and bake the sandwich buns if making homemade.
Shred the cheese.
Heat the chili and cook the hot dogs.
Place the hot dogs in the buns, top with chili, top with the cheese.
If you wish the cheese to be more melted place the hot chili dog into the microwave for about 10 seconds.
