Grilled peaches are a fast, easy, and healthy dessert and the perfect way to complete a grilled summer dinner. They’re excellent served with a chilled, crisp white wine or a glass of iced tea. The heat of the grill concentrates the sugars in the peaches, making them sweet and soft. Make sure your peaches are ripe, but not soft, otherwise they will just turn to mush when heated on the grill.
Prep/Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
2 fresh peaches, ripe but still firm
Local honey, optional
Equipment
Grilled
Process
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Carefully grease the grates.
Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit.
Lay the peaches cut side down on the grill for 3-5 minutes. Gently flip over and grill for another minute, just to get the skin side a bit warm.
Serve half a peach to each person. Drizzle with honey if desired.
